Paulin Modi has served as partner and president of SM Engineers since May 2017, overseeing the company’s strategy, finances, operations, and business development. Based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Paulin "Paul" Modi combines long-term planning with hands-on leadership to support the company’s growth and performance.

In his role, Paulin Modi develops strategic goals, identifies new business opportunities, and establishes priorities for the company’s continued development. He oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and risk management while monitoring the company’s overall financial health. He also maintains relationships with clients, business partners, and other stakeholders, leads business development initiatives, and addresses major client concerns.

His responsibilities extend to project and operational oversight, including monitoring project performance, budgets, timelines, quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations and safety requirements. Paulin Modi also supports employee recruitment, retention, professional development, and workplace culture. He also oversees contracts, legal and regulatory matters, quality control, and risk mitigation.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Paulin Modi volunteers at his temple and serves on the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC). He also enjoys playing tennis with friends at his local athletic club and traveling internationally with his family.
